Welcome to FoodShare Toronto's Capital CampaignAs many of you may know, FoodShare’s home base for the past 12 years - the Field to Table Centre at 200 Eastern Avenue - has been uprooted. After months of uncertainty we are happy to report that we are now sharing space at 90 Croatia Street with the Royal Conservatory of Music! Unfortunately, as many people know from personal experience, moving always adds a tremendous strain. In addition, much work needs to be done to make the new place fit our unusual needs and not all costs are covered by government funding. Click here to Help us Replant Ourselves and Help us Grow at our new home. We need your help more than ever. Our new home needs certain renovations to help us deliver our important programs. Until these renovations are completed we will be hard pressed to deliver our winter Power Soups program and other cooking programs such as Focus on Food. Our Good Food Box is being packed at the Daily Bread Food Bank until we can complete the renovations in our new home to accommodate the large walk-in refrigerator and warehouse. Our Urban Agriculture program is without a greenhouse—and without a place to plant and grow over 5000 certified organic vegetable and herb seedlings for use this coming spring in our gardens in partnership with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. Please help us with our FoodShare Capital Campaign effort, so that we can have the Good Food Box, the Cooking programs and the Urban Agriculture programs all under one roof—the new Field to Table Centre roof! Or for $250 you can sponsor either one of these two important projects. For gifts of both $500 and $250 to the Help us Replant Ourselves Capital Campaign you will receive an email from FoodShare to confirm that in recognition of your gift, your name will be inscribed on the FoodShare Tree of Life Mural to be created in our new home. But any amount is welcome, so please do send whatever you can afford $100, $50, $25 or $10. Corporate Support is vital to the success of the Help us Replant Ourselves Capital campaign. FoodShare is looking for corporate donors to make a sponsorship gift of $5,000 and up to $50,000 and become a partner of our new location.
