URBAN MARKET GARDEN AT CAMH:
THE LASAGNA GARDEN and
THE ORGANIC MARKET STAND

In 2002 FoodShare established a 7000 sq ft urban market garden,
the Sunshine Garden, on the grounds of Centre for Addiction and Mental
Health (CAMH)
1000 Queen St W in Toronto. In the fall of 2006, that original garden made way for the CAMH redevelopment but a new garden–the Lasagna Garden–is now carrying on the tradition of urban agriculture in the heart of Toronto.
CAMH participants grow certified organic vegetables and
herbs under the supervision of FoodShare's urban agriculture program staff.

Market Times:
Want to buy just-picked certified organic produce?
From the begining of July to October we hold a market stand on the CAMH garden grounds every morning, Monday through Thursday, 10-12:30pm (weather permitting). The market begins in early July and continues on to early October. The market stand is right on Queen Street, at Ossington, near the CAMH main entrance. In case of rain the market may be held inside the CAMH building.
