URBAN AGRICULTURE PRODUCTS FOR SALE
Cayenne Pepper seedlings
Seedling Transplants
At our annual spring plant sale, (cancelled in 2007 due to our recent move and renovastion--but will return in 2008!) purchase heritage variety, certified organic seedlings for your own garden. You'll be able to find heirloom vegetable, culinary and medicinal herbs, edible flowers and native plants.
We also sell our seedlings to Urban Harvest which makes them available at the Riverdale Farm, Dufferin Grove and Waldorf Organic Markets in addition to a number of local stores including The Big Carrot, Karma Coop, Grassroots, Essence of Life and Alternatives in Port Credit.
Compost
For sometime now we've been bragging about our fantastic, non-to-be beat Field To Table compost , made by Toronto's compost king, Mike Nevin and his cadre of dedicated Friday volunteers.
We've been using this compost on our own seedlings and in the Sunshine Garden at CAMH, but unless you've bought seedlings or shopped at our garden's twice weekly market stand, you haven't been able to truly sample the compost's delights. Its beautiful chocolate cake colour, the oh so fine light and crumbly texture, its generous warmth as it slides lovingly through your fingers have eluded you...until now!

Straight-from-the garden veggies
Produce from our Sunshine Market Garden at CAMH (1001 Queen St. West) is available twice a week at the garden's farm stand, 2 days a week from July through September.
Honey
Honey from FoodShare’s own beehives is available on a first come, first
serve basis in November or December. Prices vary from year to year, depending
on the harvest.
Compost Canes
This handy tool for aerating your compost pile is available for $30.
Sprouts & Seedlings
Field to Table Sprouts and Seedlings offers fresh OCIA certified organic sprouts through FoodShare’s Good Food Box program. Sprouted locally from certified organic seed stock and packaged in reusable zip bags, we offer pea and sunflower seedling sprouts that are grown and harvested by participants in our Growing Green Jobs program in partnership with CAMH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health). The seedling sprouts are lovely alternatives to imported greens in a salad and a beautiful garnish.
