Community Garden Network Steering Committee member with gardeners from
the Kipling Garden.
Picture above is The Maloca Garden, on
the campus of York University, named after a central part of Amazonian
life --the "maloca" or heart of the village.
Pictured above is our 3rd stop, the Shamba
Garden of Seeds of Our City partner the Afri-Can FoodBasket.
Umbrellas came out as Anan and Tafari showed us the garden's many highlights.
Pictured above is our final stop, before winding up at Field To Table Centre for a meal together, the Scadding Court Community Centre's "Preserving Out Health Community Garden". There was much to see--a greenhouse, worm composting project, herb gardens and handpainted plot signs, as well as an abundance of flowers and vegetables.
