VOLUNTEER WITH FOODSHARE
In contrast to programs based on more traditional charity principles,
our projects are based on community building / self-help principles. Again,
that means that there is little distinction between "volunteers"
and "participants." Volunteers aren't so much "helping
someone out" as they are taking part in the exciting opportunity
to help build a new food system.
We also promote workshops, workbees and other local food events through
our monthly e-bulletin. Click here to SIGN-UP

Potential Volunteer positions with FoodShare:
Good Food Box Stop Coordinator
FoodShare relies on well over 150 volunteers who coordinate Good Food
Box drop-offs. A Good Food Box stop can start with 5 - 8 orders- ideally
reaching a minimum of 10 orders. With every ten boxes ordered - we deliver
a free Good Food Box which can be used by the stop coordinator, shared
amongst the other boxes or donated.
Good Food Box stops (we also call them drop-offs) can be front porches,
co-ops, social housing, daycares, churches, community centres etc. Volunteer
stop coordinators take orders, collect payment and ensure that customers
pick up their boxes. Stops can have a delivery once a week, every two
weeks or once a month. Everyone can participate.
