Through a grant from the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, FoodShare is undertaking the Good Food at Home to offer practical food supports to people in treatment for breast cancer and to support long term healthy eating practices beyond the treatment year in order to optimize good health.

Good Food at Home
We offer weekly home deliveries of ready to eat fruits and vegetables for up to 6 months to 40 people who are in active treatment for breast cancer (surgery, chemotherapy, radiation). Half of the spaces will be reserved for those who are living on low incomes.

Good Food For Life
Post-treatment cooking classes are the other key component of the project. In addition to learning simple, delicious and nutritious recipes inspired by various cultural traditions, these Good Food For Life group sessions offer participants an opportunity to discuss healthy eating strategies and tools to make informed dietary choices.
