Welcome to the RESOURCE LIBRARY

We have included the best community food security resources we could find in this database: from sustainable agriculture to anti-poverty issues, and everything in between. Because the breadth of topics, we've tried to find good summary articles, and resources not easily available elsewhere. We have also focused on web-based resources and publications that are either written by or for food security programs and organizations (though there are also quite a few academic articles).

Please add your own resources – you can put in summaries or upload entire documents!

Ways to SEARCH

When you know what you're looking for: enter author or title, but start with as little information as possible, because a small spelling error or re-ordering of words could prevent you from getting results.

Keyword search: by selecting some keywords, you can search the text summary and title for each resource. Remember that searching this way may not hit the exact right words, though. Try with the most general terms first, then if you get too many results try adding more specific descriptive words.

Search by our Categories: this way you can search using the pre-defined categories that we used to categorize the resources. This is the way you'll be the most likely to get results. You can tick one only of the six main categories, and as many subcategories as you like – even if they are not in the same section. Again, try keeping your search quite general to begin with, and then if you get too many results, tick more categories.

Our featured searches: We have identified some clusters of information within the database that we think may interest users. Just click on one of the searches listed at the left.

SUGGEST a resource

The world of food security is growing in leaps and bounds – so we hope that you can help ensure that key resources that you have created, discovered, or rely on are in the database so that other folks can access them!

PS. If the resource is available on the web please make sure you provide the link. Or if you have a electronic copy you can upload the document and we can change into PDF format.
