Hummus for 30
Hummus is a Middle Eastern dip which is high in protein and easy
to make. Hummus is a great spread for pita sandwiches but is also
great as a dip for vegetables. Chickpeas can also be served ‘as
is’. They are great on top of salads or on their own.
1 can 19 oz chickpeas
2/3 cup Plain nonfat yogurt
2 tbsp Lemon Juice
3 cloves Garlic
1 tbsp Olive oil
2 tsp Tahini paste (optional)
½ tsp Salt
1 tsp Ground Cumin
¼ tsp Ground allspice
In food processor or blender, puree all the ingredients with 1
to 2 tablespoons of water.
Serving size is 2 Tablespoons
