Fertiliser

Because container-grown plants have restricted root space, they’re often nutrient stressed. To keep your container garden growing vigorously, plan on feeding regularly.

Organic fertilisers are the best, especially when you are growing food. Compost tea, fish emulsion, liquid kelp, and worm castings are all fine organic fertilisers and are now readily available at most garden centres, nurseries and even hardware stores.

As a general rule, water at half the recommended strength but twice as often.
